An IATA Israel Overseas Passport serves one purpose: to facilitate movement between Israel, and another destination. Every year, thousands move between the two countries to work or for pleasure. Passengers can use their Israel Passport to get a green card and then apply for an Israeli Passport card upon arrival in Israel. Only Israeli citizens are permitted to apply for a passport. All other visitors (Israelis, foreigners, and residents of other states) are required to fill out the Israel Inbound passenger statement.
This form is available at many Passport Offices throughout the world. If you need a specialized form, your best bet would be to check with your travel agent or an IATA representative. They will be able to help you find the form that meets your needs. Israeli authorities require three items of information in order to complete this form. These are name, age, country of birth, and passport number.
Passengers who do not provide all three items are required to present a voided application form. If they fail to do so, their application will be returned to them along with a negative result. A positive result means the applicant was permitted to apply for a passport. If the applicant passes a voided application form, they will receive a "U" on their form. This means that their application will be denied by the health authorities.
Visitors who have passed the "U", can also present a form called "H". Applicants with a U must contact their nearest branches to obtain this form. It contains the same information that the "U" form. If a visitor chooses not to present the "H," they will receive a negative result and will not be allowed to apply for a passport. The applicant's last name is usually entered into the system incorrectly during a previous application.
