Sunny Srivastava

Currently, I am a graduate student working towards a Ph.D. in Statistics. I have strong interests in both theory and applications of Statistics and related fields. I have a liking for Bayesian statistics, especially because of its coherence and modularity.

I have a M.S. in Mathematics and Scientific Computing and a year's professional experience as an analyst in a leading investment bank, which I left for pursing my interest in Statistics (not because the bank went under).

I am a Linux and GNU Emacs enthusiast. At the moment I am exploring my relationship with R; clojure is next. I also like helping people with their statistical analysis at CrossValidatd (stats.stackexchange.com).
