Sunghyun Hong
PhD Student, Researcher, and Clinical Social Worker in Ann Arbor, MI
I am a doctoral student at the University of Michigan joint program in Social Work & Developmental Psychology.
I study the developmental shaping of resilience. I am interested in examining how (neuro)biological, social, environmental, and cultural factors protect and propel the functioning of individuals across the lifespan.
I am also a clinical social worker, providing psychotherapy for individuals and families impacted by trauma, psychopathology, and life challenges. I take a strengthed-based and trauma-informed approach.
In my free time, I am passionate about equipping the next generation through educational empowerment. I love helping youths and young adults to discover their strength and worth in the eternal perspectives.
