Director Statement
As a woman of indigenous, Filipino, Asian background with experience as a performer, screenwriter, and producer, I am passionate about social justice and representation in the media. I believe that art has the power to change the world, and I use my work to amplify the voices of marginalized communities.
I have seen first hand the power of art to bring people together and to create a sense of community. I have also seen how art can be used to challenge stereotypes and to promote understanding between cultures. I believe that art is a powerful tool for social change, and I am committed to using my work to make a difference in the world.
I am drawn to stories that explore the intersection of race, gender, and class. I am interested in telling stories that have been historically overlooked or silenced. I believe that by sharing these stories, we can create a more inclusive and equitable world.
