Sun Kim

Dr. Sun K. Kim is a Design for Excellence Evangelist at Abbott Labs, transforming how R&D is done in the health care industry. He currently teaches at Keio University and Stanford University. His current focus of research is Systems Design, Agile Product Development, and Health Care Engineering.

He received his MS and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. Sun was recently an Asst. Professor at Keio University in Japan. As co-founder of Keio's ALPS design curriculum, he has led multi-disciplinary teams to solve major societal challenges in Japan. Prior to Silicon Valley days, he served in the Korean Army and worked at BMW AG in Munich, Germany.
