Sunkyung Kim

Project developer and Equity investment in Seoul, Korea

I am currently working at KEPCO E&C, a public enterprise under the KEPCO Group, where I am responsible for business development and equity investment in energy infrastructure projects.

I began my career managing large-scale EPC projects for overseas power plants. Currently, I focus on assessing the feasibility and investment potential of various renewable energy projects, including offshore wind, solar PV, waste-to-energy, and fuel cell power generation. My core responsibilities include structuring investment frameworks, evaluating financial viability, reviewing project agreements, and negotiating with stakeholders.

Additionally, I have been involved in establishing joint ventures by contributing our company’s valuable patents as in-kind investments to SMEs, aiming to develop and commercialize new technologies.

Moving forward, I aspire to establish investment best practices for energy infrastructure projects from an SI (strategic investor) perspective and expand my network within the industry.
