I believe that a major source of stress in the workplace, at school and at home is “technofrustration.” People freak out—on themselves and each other—when confronted with technology that they do not know how to use, or that does not work the way they want it to work. And I am passionate about easing their pain.

I deliver content that works—for both advanced users and novices. One of my favorite “overheard at work” quotations came from a stint on campus at a large software company: A woman burst out of her office and yelled, “How do they expect us to keep up with all this technology?!”

That kind of frustration is why I feel privileged to use my talents to help people. I certainly do not know everything about everything, but I know how to find out, I learn fast, and I am very good at communicating the “how” of what they need to know to the people who need to know it, regardless of the complexity of the system or the skill level of the user.

Because a great style guide is key to a well-oiled editorial machine, my experience includes creating and maintaining style guides and project style sheets, and training teams of writers and editors in their consistent and effective use.

Doing exceptional work while controlling costs, reducing team stress, improving “time-to-web,” and genuinely caring about both the creators and the audience members—that is how I do content. If you would like to know more, let’s talk.

Best regards,

Sunny Zebe
