Surge L'Rodriguez

A writer/director, L'Rodriguez has been awarded multiple international awards for his editing and directing skills. Born in a small town out side of Morelia, Michoacán Mexico on March 7, 1980. He immigrated to the United States in 1985 and was raised in the San Fernando Valley. L’Rodriguez has graduated from the Institute of Arts and Multimedia at Los Angeles Mission College (2005) and from the Cinema, Television Arts at California State University, Northridge (2008).

He is the writer/director behind "Motel San Fernando" - an award winning short film about an out-of-luck transvestite that would risk everything to provide for her younger sister.

Currently he is in the process of writing his first full-length film entitled “El Valiente,” (The Valiant One) a film about a Mexican Mestizo Indian boy who becomes a hero to his people.
