Feng Shui (wind & water) is the ancient Chinese practice involving the placement of objects. It is the observation of ones surroundings and coming to understand how chi (life force) moves through a space or room. With the thoughtful intent or desire of shifting momentum in certain areas of ones life, change can be evoked over time. The placement of items; lighting, water features, plants, color, etc. help to energize or enhance the momentum of that area of your life. This is Feng Shui explained in the most simplest of ways, however it is also complex and completely personal to whomever it is being implemented for.

Managing (k)lutter is also super effective in assisting the movement and flow of healthy chi. In a home or business that is disorganized and klutter filled, the ability of chi to move as it is meant to ~ in an unencumbered way, becomes compromised. So, should you live in the NYC area and be in need of a consultation or require assistance with dekluttering and organizing, definitely be in touch.

Meanwhile, I've recently begun mentoring with an organization called http://www.petalsnbelles.org, they nuture relationships between teenaged young women and folks like myself by way of a year-long, interactive program. Especially useful since I am raising a daughter who's just turning 15 :-/ lol, and her brother who will be a teen soon enough. It's actually going really well and I enjoy the aspect of being teacher and student both as parent and mentor. I am also a former partner and proprietor of the now closed Brooklyn restaurant, Chestnut. Ultimately though, my primary focus is participating brightly in the human experience, and adding to the momentum of expanding the the light while I'm here. The business of being human can be challenging, but overall I think I'm getting the hang of it.
