My job is to highlight the best in those I meet. After 11 years as a commercial news journalist always highlighting the worst things that people do, the deep appreciation I felt for my current work as an arts and culture documentary producer when I first started remains strong.

I've snagged a few awards for my storytelling work at OETA: 4 Emmys - National Clarion Award from Women in Communication - Best of the Best from the National Educational Television Association - Several Oklahoma Associated Press, OAB and Oklahoma SPJ awards, Best Documentary from the Tennessee Associated Press and 2nd place in a Chili Cook-off, but I really just stirred the pot.
I love my city. I love my kiddos who are off on their own adventures and I love my dogs. Where would we be without dogs?
