I am an Early Childhood Teacher in New York City. My specialty is emerging literacy, reading, and math skills. I received my BS in Education and MS in Early Childhood Education and worked in the day care and public school setting for several years. I then went into a business career but continued to tutor, train, and inform. Ten years ago I decided to return to full-time teaching and continued my studies toward NYS Certification in Gifted and Talented Education and Certification in Special Education, Students with Disabilities. I am currently training as a certified Montessori educator. I have a keen interest in Global Education and Technology, especially in the early childhood setting. I love crafts, especially knitting, and I love to research craft projects for my students with the goal of teaching concepts as a hidden agenda. I firmly believe in project based learning and I am always looking for ways to incorporate a differentiated instructional approach. I believe that learning is fun and I try to incorporate that belief into everything I do!
Please take a look at my links below to lesson plans I have developed and implemented in my classroom, my resume, and Letters of Reference. I look forward to hearing from you!
