Currently the host of SJJ: Sooze Jazz Joint at Live365, I first dipped my foot into the broadcasting pool in 2010. Working with my long-time friend, Mike DeVita, I co-hosted several shows on an internet radio station and wrote a few of the programs (one of which, One Hit Wonders, was a personal favorite). Later, I designed the original website for Mike's next venture and hosted programs at the site. The website is still up and running and Mike recently started his own Live365 radio station (3M: Mike's Music Memories) where he continues to play the music that reflects his eclectic tastes.

After working with Mike for a few months, I decided to start my own podcasting site with another friend, but the musical parameters we put in place were too broad and I had difficulty finding my niche. Abandoning the project, I struggled to find the right outlet for my musical passions, which led me to Live365 and the creation of "SBJ: Sooze Blues & Jazz" in July 2012. Nine months later, the decision was made to change the station to an all jazz format. Beginning Monday, May 6, 2013, the station became "SJJ: Sooze Jazz Joint." In addition to the role of DJ and programmer, I also administer its website (http://sjjradio.com) and manage both its Twitter account (@SoozeJazzJoint) and Facebook page.

Prior to broadcasting, I was the editor of an online poetry magazine (the now defunct, The Poetry Hut). So far, I’ve written four books: a mystery novel (Tarnished Idols), a children’s book (The Basset Goes To Boston) and two poetry collections (A Walk And Imagine and Haiku Harbor, Collection #1). All of these e-book titles are available online at Barnes & Noble. The Basset Goes To Boston is available in print at Amazon.com.

Born, raised and living in Baltimore, MD, I’m an aspiring beach bum. My favorite place to sit on the sand and stare at the ocean is Wrightsville Beach in NC.
