Susan Athena was the first Canadian to hold the Canadian Accordion Championship title for youth, for 3 years in a row. Classically trained by Canada’s leading accordionist of the time, who was under the tutelage of Boris Borgstrom, she began her teaching career at a prominent studio outside of Toronto, at the age of 14. Following in her grandfather’s footsteps, a professional accordionist in Budapest, Susan Athena’s own love of the “Sounds of Europe” inspired her passionate style and deep expression.

Susan performed as a showcase performer for the 7th Annual Okanagan Arts Awards in the Mary Irwin Theatre; Opera Kelowna's Rococo 2014; Rotary Centre of the Arts 2014 WAM! Wine Arts Music; on the Kelowna Yacht Club's summer patio; as a guest performer on the big stage at the Kelowna Community Theatre; Art Walk; garden parties and more......
