Susan Buenafe

Boston

Hello there! My name is Susan Buenafe. I believe a large part of design is learning about the end-user; their process: painpoints, struggles, joys and successes. Research is an integral component in making a good product into a great one.

I grew up in Arlington, VA and attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I double majored in Art History and Studio Art and worked in various art related fields: the printing industry, community art education and the web industry in the Washington, DC area. After working with various clients in the IT industry as a web designer, I found myself wanting to be involved at each stage of the process, not simply the design portion.

In December 2013, I completed my dual degree Masters in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University and at University Madeira, where I equipped myself with the methods and skills required to help create better products and user experiences.

In my spare time, I’m an avid fan of sleep, I enjoy traveling, cooking, working out, visiting art museums, taking food photography and I’m a fan of doing jumping photos.
