I’m Susan DeRose, and my journey has been one of blending passion with purpose across both the culinary and entertainment worlds. I’ve spent much of my career in the restaurant industry, where I’m fortunate to lead Liberty House Restaurant Corporation, overseeing three of Atlanta’s most beloved dining spots—Bones Restaurant, OK Cafe, and Blue Ridge Grill. I take immense pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality and service, and I love that our restaurants have become iconic in Atlanta’s vibrant food scene.

But my creativity doesn’t stop at the kitchen. In 2020, I wrote and directed a film called Charming the Hearts of Men, which explores social change during the 1960s. Filmmaking has always been a passion of mine, and this project was a chance to tell a story that’s meaningful and impactful. It’s a reminder of how stories, whether through food or film, have the power to connect us and spark thought.

I believe in leading with authenticity, staying grounded in my values, and constantly pushing for innovation. My work is driven by a commitment to excellence in everything I do, whether I’m running a restaurant or crafting a film.
