Susan Hais

In 1979, attorney Susan Hais opened a solo family-law practice in St. Louis, Missouri. Today, eight attorneys practice at Hais, Hais, Goldberger, & Coyne P.C., including her husband, former Family Court Judge Samuel J. Hais. All of the legal professionals focus on family law, including divorce issues related to tax and financial matters, child custody and support, legal separation, maintenance, and property division. Experienced in handling complex divorce cases, founder and Partner Susan Hais possesses expertise in locating concealed assets, dividing business interests, changing visitation or custody arrangements, and parental relocation.

Susan Hais and her colleagues also address the national problem of school and cyber bullying. In keeping with new laws passed by the Missouri Legislature in 2011, the attorneys can assist parents in petitioning the court for an Order of Protection to stop bullying. For those divorcing after the age of 50, Ms. Hais and her fellow lawyers recognize the unique circumstances facing such clients, including the division of home equity as well as debt, interest in pensions and retirement savings, and medical issues. Named by the Ladue News as the Most High-Profile Divorce Attorney in St. Louis, Ms. Hais received her undergraduate and postgraduate education in the greater St. Louis Metropolitan area. At Washington University, she earned a Bachelor of Arts. The accomplished legal expert subsequently fulfilled a Master of Arts at Saint Louis University and a J.D. at Saint Louis University School of Law.
