Susan Leong
Hi! I'm a lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology in the Department of Media and Communication. I made the trip across from Western Australia at the beginning of 2010 and now live and work in Brisbane, Australia. My research interests range from diasporic use of media (with specific focus on the Chinese and Indian diasporas). ethnic minorities in Singapore and Malaysia, multiple belongings, social imaginaries and nations, cultural pluralism and the consideration of non-users in the implementation of new media technologies.
Currently I teach both the undergraduate and postgraduate new media courses at QUT's Creative Industries Faculty. I like teaching but also love research, so if you see me on campus (I spend far too much time on my own working on the computer in the office ), don't be surprised if you hear me talking to myself!
