Bem - Vindo! ( Welcome!)

I am a harpist who has been playing for 22 years, who loves life and has many interests! I am currently studying Latin American Jazz in Rio, Brazil with Cristina Braga at the Escola da Musica, part of the UFRJ University, one of Brazil's top Universities. This is a dream come true and has been a two year journey full of ups and downs to get here. I am also an Arts facilitator, using dance, music and drama to work with 5-11 year olds, helping them to discover their creativity and expression. Lastly, I am also a trustee of a charity called Rafiki that provides education bursaries to young people in Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho who don't have the means to continue their education.

I am passionate about people, music, creativity, social justice and community. I love cross arts colloboration and welcome any opportunities to do this and love working with innovators.

I was introduced to the world of Jazz and harp about 4 years ago and I have never looked back. I have always had a love of Latin music, especially through dance. Whilst here in Rio, I hope to immerse myself in the dance and music culture and grow in my understanding of its rhythms. I hope to take inspiration from the amazing scenery and write tracks for an EP in colloboration with people I meet along the way.
