Susanna Provenzale

Native Italian freelance interpreter and translator based in Madrid. I translate from English and Spanish into Italian and I provide interpreting services from English and Spanish into Italian and from Italian into English and Spanish.

I worked for 10 years as an in-house translator, proofreader, database specialist and team leader in a leading travel services provider. I used to manage a big amount of data every day, which allowed me to develop an excellent attention to details and great error-spotting skills. Throughout my career in the company, I developed new procedures that sped up team work and increased the quality of the service. In recognition of my commitment and hard work, I was promoted in both companies where I worked as an employee.

Over the past year, I have totally focused on my professional development: I have been studying medical translation and I have been improving my simultaneous and consecutive interpreting techniques. Being the communication bridge between two different worlds, cultures and languages has been my passion since I was a child. I especially love interpreting, as it involves being in contact with other people. I also enjoy the process of preparing carefully for each assignment.

I am a reliable, perseverant and optimistic professional. My commitment is to ensure that my clients’ goals are achieved effectively through a successful and accurate linguistic service, based on empathy, trust and honesty. I love the feeling of knowing that my work has been of benefit to others.

I am very grateful for having had the opportunity to grow personally and professionally in stimulating work environments, where I was able to further develop my adaptability and flexibility skills.

My interests range from photography to music. I am also interested in causes, arts and reading.
