Susanne Weber

I'm a public relations specialist in Vienna, Austria, working for the Federal Chancellery (Federal Press Service) and specialising in EU communications as well as all fields of government PR.

Before working at the Austrian Federal Chancellery, I worked as a PR consultant (for business clients as well als NGOs and government) and did some journalistic as well as scientific work. Concerning public management, I gained valuable work experience at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, especially during the Austrian EU Presidency 2006.

I completed a master´s degree in political science at the University of Vienna and a Bachelor of Education degree in French and Spanish (teacher training programme). During my academic studies, I spent a year in Belgium at Université Libre de Bruxelles. Besides German (native), I am fluent in English, French and Spanish. My linguistic skills also include a basic command of Italian, Slovenian and Dutch. Enlarging my professional skills, I followed a Train-the-trainer programme and project management courses. At the moment, I am studying for a PhD in Social Sciences (Political and Communication Science), focussing on internal communications in government agencies.
