Susan Rizzo Vincent

President, The Andréa Rizzo Foundation, providing Dréa's Dream Pediatric Dance Therapy Program to children with cancer and special needs in renowned hospitals and schools nationwide. With the help of friends and family, I started this non-profit organization in memory of my daughter, Andréa. She was a childhood cancer survivor, lifelong dancer, special education teacher and had begun her graduate work in dance therapy when she was killed by a drunk driver at age 24. Her dream lives on! Dancers are our biggest supporters as they understand the power of dance and the impact it can have on children who wish that they could be dancing too. Dance schools, dance companies and individual dancers have thought of creative ways to raise funds to support our cause - from dance-a-thons, benefit performances to dance parties through our Dance Across America fundraising initiative. Their ideas are amazing and I am honored to help them to create the perfect event in their hometown so that they each feel as though they are doing something meaningful for fragile children. Their help has sustained Dréa's Dream Pediatric Dance Therapy Program. They inspire me as they find ways to make a difference through their own love of dance combined with their deep compassion. Our National Spokesperson is Carrie Ann Inaba of Dancing With the Stars and we've been honored by and received generous support from Jane Seymour's Open Hearts Foundation. I look forward to the day when Dréa's Dream is offered in every hospital across the country! Let your heart move your feet ® www.DreasDream.org
