Susan Settenbrino

Susan Settenbrino graduated summa cum laude from Brooklyn College -- where she majored in Business Management and Finance; received a Certificate of Achievement in Accounting; and a Minor in Russian Linguistics. Later, Susan Settenbrino went on to attend Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Brooklyn Law School completing a Juris Doctor in Law. Susan Settenbrino runs a legal debate clinic at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. In this role, she teaches students of the Academically Gifted & Talented Youth Program about seeking, and obtaining "Truth & Justice" in law & politics. Settenbrino also worked briefly for Brooklyn College as an Adjunct Associate Professor teaching Business Law -- she received "Excellent" reviewss for her teaching style and substance. In 1994, Susan Settenbrino became an Associate Attorney for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). In 2000, she became an Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. After leaving the District Attorney's Office, Ms. Settenbrino went on to establish Susan D. Settenbrino P.C. Attorney At Law where she handles complex civl litigation and family law matters. Ms. Settenbrino is a fierce advocate to fair access to the courts for the public and legal profession and has suggested legislative reform for the judicial selection and election process.Ms. Settenbrino has hosted a popular local radio program concerning topics on the law, politics, and compelling health matters. Ms. Settenbrino has been honored and received several prestigious awards, She received the 2009 Honor Citation from the New York State Senator of the 22nd Senate District, Martin J. Golden. Susan Settenbrino served as the Co-Chair of the Subcommittee on Judicial Ethics for the American Bar Association, as well as Co-Chair of the Subcommittee on Ethics & Professionalism. She is a Member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations and the United States Tax Courts. Settenbrino often makes charitable donations to the American Thyroid Association, Chai Lifeline, JEP,JRP, and Aleh Foundation -- a charity for severely disabled children living in Israel.
