The hardest thing for humans is to understand ourselves. But there is no more imperative endeavor. Give up trying and humans become a lower life form, and we have too much potential to get lazy now. We have already achieved as a species more than we remember.
And so I research who we are, and consider where we've been and where we have a responsibility to go. It is the only brave and compassionate thing to do.

I haven't had a farm in Africa, but I do have a spread with an outrageous Pacific view just south of San Francisco, California
