Susie is originally from Asheville, NC and currently resides in Tom’s Brook, VA with her husband, Herb.

Susie graduated from Berea College in 1980 and is currently re-inventing herself as a potter after being in the printing industry for the past 25 years.

In 2006, Susie received a diploma from Art Institute of Pittsburg in Residential Planning.

She loves to garden, quilt, create and blog.

And now she has an Etsy shop called Laughing Orange Studio where you can purchase her creations.

In October 2012, Susie was juried into the Artisan Center of Virginia. She is also on the O' Shenandoah County Artisans Trail where you can plan a trip and come visit her studio.
