Susie Meister has a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on Christianity in the United States and the marketing of religion.

Susie is probably best known for her appearances on MTV's Road Rules and the Challenge. She was an on-air contributor for PBS, and frequently publishes articles on religion and politics for Vox, Huffington Post, Atlantic, Salon, and others.

Susie is currently the host of the Brain Candy Podcast with her MTV co-star, Sarah Rice. The show will make you laugh and make you think.

Susie is currently working on her book, Being Jesus, which will be published by RothCo Press. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Adam, and their son Lincoln. Even though life is pretty great, the best day of her life is when she sang “Surfin’ USA” on stage with the Beach Boys.
