Suzan Isaac

Hi, I’m Suzan! I’m currently first year, studying a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University. I am majoring in Digital Media and minoring in Film, Tv & Animation with the aspiration of working in the Film and animation industry, but more specifically to be a film director.

In film and media today there is a big problem with lack of representation and appropriate representation. So I hope that I will be able to work on Films, podcasts and other media forms that focus on the correct depiction of people (especially minority groups)! I also hope that I'll be able to find like minded people who may become long term friends. Some of my favourite Film directors are Jordan Peele, Tyler Perry, Ava DuVernay, Isa Rae & Mindi Kaling :))

I am a HUGE fan of anime (I have always been since I was a kid), so in my free time you would probably catch me watching the latest seasonal anime or trying to catch up on one of those hundred episode shounen animes. I also love binge watching shows (my all time favourite is That 70s show), listening to podcasts and attempting to bake!

I hope that throughout this year I will be able to learn how to work across different media forms while also establishing my own name and brand.
