CEO in Ottawa, ON, Canada
In the past year I took the helm at the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance where I advocate for a thriving Canadian innovation sector. My mantras, The Art of the Possible and Solve for Human are applied daily to a vision for #TechnologyNorth.
I'm a Canadian veteran with a military communications engineering and intelligence background.
My non profit contributions include serving on mission-driven and charitable boards and within think tanks, strategic and governance committees.
At heart I'm an entrepreneur and have been in a CEO role for the past 20 years.
A couple more notable businesses to mention include a digital publishing and strategic communications agency I co-founded in the frontier market of Qatar. In 2015 I was invited to co-found a state of the art, brain-machine interface med tech company developing a bionic retina to return sight to blind people. The "Diamond Eye" appeared in CB insights as a disrupter and was featured on the cover of Advanced BioSciences.
I've been fortunate to conduct business in 17 countries, signing dozens of multinational clients including celebrities and royals, and have closed and executed deals worth tens of millions of dollars.
Awards include a Military Commendation and Kingston Local Hero appointment for founding the Rwandan Orphan Campaign, Female Founder Award, the Startup Canada Quebec and National Innovation Awards, and the Canadian National winner of Copenhagen's Creative Business Cup global awards series acknowledging the success of iBIONICS.
