Hi, I’m Suzanne. I live on a 130 acres of native bushland in Queensland. I’m into the environment, caring for country, looking after the little critters, reading, writing and photography.

My core research interests’ are in liminality, trauma, places of silence and magical realism. While researching and writing for my Anthropology honours thesis, on human trafficking, I became fascinated with the concept of liminality, and with ideas of dwelling in those spaces that are so often ‘betwixt and between’. So, I am now pursuing a creative PhD.

And in my PhD I am focusing on women’s experiences of liminality and trauma within the genre of magical realism.
