Suzanne Gorhau
Omaha, Nebraska
Suzanne is a Presbyterian pastor and spiritual director. She's been trained as an interim pastor. She loves small churches and wants to help them discover their identity in God, especially as they go through transitions.
She’s been on sabbatical for the past year. During her sabbatical, besides learning the value of rest, she started playing with art supplies. She learned it’s possible for “non-artists” to pray through art. She is passionate about helping people connect with God, especially those who left the traditional church. She is available to lead workshops/retreats on Different Ways to Pray, Praying Through Art, Bible Art Journaling, Contemplative Photography, and Sermon Preparation as a Spiritual Practice.
She is on the board of Marion Medical Mission, an organization that puts shallow wells in rural villages in Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia, Africa. She's traveled to Africa five times for short-term mission trips, starting in 2001. If you need a program for your church, civic group or school, Suzanne would love to tell you about shallow wells in Africa.
Her dream is to buy a tiny house. She enjoys good coffee. She wants to walk a 12 minute mile. She reads scrapbooking blogs because she enjoys getting a glimpse into people’s everyday lives. She has written 750 words every day for almost four years. Her soul is fed by silence.
