I have enjoyed a successful career as a PR Director for more than 20 years. Warner Bros, Universal, Sony BMG – I have worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. After two decades at the summit, I left my role as PR And Global Marketing Director at LazyTown Entertainment to focus on Frugl, a tech start-up close to my heart.

Frugl is an events discovery app and website for users on a budget seeking affordable things to do. We launched in London in 2014 and have plans to scale this year upon receiving further investment. For users we're a destination to find great opportunities, while providing vendors a self-service marketing platform that enables them to commercialise their unsold capacity simply and efficiently.

Whilst PR Director at LazyTown Entertainment I was able to open doors to the White House - the big one in Washington. With a key role negotiating a relationship with Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign, I also nurtured connections with the UK government’s Change 4Life programme.

My career has been full of many challenges; developing and launching a tech startup company could be my biggest to date.

I have always prided herself on giving people a chance. When I ran my PR agency my selection process differed from the usual CV focused one. Candidates impressed me through actions were far more likely to get the job. From that incubator agency sprang many savvy talents who are still at the top of the PR game today.

Recently I have adopted a more formal mentoring role. I teach part-time ‘PR On A Shoestring’ workshops to startups and small businesses that don’t necessarily have the funds to employ an expensive agency. Instead, I give them the tools to to develop and manage their own dynamic PR strategy in-house. In addition, I do one-on-one PR mentoring to individuals and companies.

I love to connect with other entrepreneurs, investors and anyone who has an interesting background.
