I’ve spent my life in education and being an advocate for children misunderstood by today’s society. For more than a decade, I’ve worked in the field of special education with my primary focus being learning and emotional disabilities. True passion to prove that a label doesn’t have to define a child; it simply means all children learn differently. Over the past few years, my fire to present this mission to a larger audience has grown to the point I could no longer lay idle. Together with my husband Luke, we created the catalyst for that change in Special Education Resource.
The parents of the students I’d worked with over the years became fed up with a serious lack of resources and assistance outside of the classroom. In my experience, it’s often the children who suffer when their parents don’t know where to turn.
Special Education Resource is designed to be a one-on-one special education tutoring and resource center for children with special needs. I’m dedicating my life to this cause with the belief that if even one child has a clearer path to success and excellence due to our help, we’ve won. I’m truly excited for what the future holds and look forward to working with others to bring this mission to the masses. Remember think differently about education.
