Let me tell you a story about this picture. Looks like a girl just sitting on a rock having a good laugh. Well it is so much more than that.

In a place called Qunu, just outside of Mthatha in South Africa, there is a sliding rock. If you have ever read Nelson Mandela's 'Long Walk to Freedom' you know what I am talking about. While working in the Eastern Cape, I got to spend a week in Qunu at a conference. During one of the breaks, all the attendees (including some of the hardest working grandmas I have ever met) went outside to play. One by one we took a slide. My first attempt brought a smile to my face and only a slight rip in my pants. One of my favourite moments captured!

I tell people that if it makes me laugh, it is totally worth it. Often this means laughing at myself.
