Sandi Villarreal is the Web Editor & Chief Digital Officer at Sojourners in Washington, D.C., where she's lived since 2012.

She is a writer, journalist and editor (and occasional moonlighting web developer) who is fascinated by the intersection of faith, culture and politics, particularly in how it can speak to the role of women both in our churches and in the public square. More recently, because of the birth of baby girl Scarlett, Sandi's writing has focused on how that role in society includes motherhood.

Originally from San Antonio, Sandi has lived and worked in St. Louis, Chicago and Minneapolis where she has worked in traditional print journalism, hyperlocal digital journalism, book publishing, communications, and web development.

Sandi's always open to story pitches that could fit the Sojourners audience. Feel free to shoot over an email or Tweet.
