Ali Garrison
I'm an American-born, Canadian-bred mezzo-soprano, who dares to sing great music from all around our sweet Mama Earth, regardless of the genre.
I have performed a huge variety of operatic/theatrical roles with regional companies and am a frequent concert/church soloist with numerous ensembles in Canada and the U.S.
I co-founded the acapella jazz trio the Waverlies and am a proud founding member of the renowned professional chamber choir, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale, which was Canada’s “gift” to President Obama’s Inaugural festivities.
I am a seasoned voice teacher with a full studio, and I LOVE to collaborate with composers, improvisers, and artists of all disciplines to foster new works and promote music for a more harmonious world.
I am an ACTRA member and a Gemini Award nominee. Stay tuned for my debut solo recording, entitled “Mosaic” to be released next year!
