I was born in 1968, grew up in eastern Kentucky, studied Music and English at Morehead State University, spent nearly a year in Washington State after college, and traveled frequently between Kentucky, Florida, Oklahoma, and Ohio during family vacations as I grew up.

I've worked for a local business since 1993 as a computer technician. I've been married since 2002 to a true auburn-haired angel, I have three step-kids and two exceptional grandchildren (so far).

I attend Salem United Methodist Church at Meta, KY, where I serve on the PPR Committee, play Bass Guitar in the Praise Band, and videotape the services.

I enjoy most styles of music which involve skilled musicians playing actual instruments. Call me old fashioned, but that's what I like. I majored in Music at college, but traded in my sax for a bass guitar 20-odd years ago.

I love to read, and my preferred reading styles tend to be as particular and eclectic as my music selections. Some of my very favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., Mark Twain, and Douglas Adams. Abraham Lincoln could certainly turn a well-crafted phrase, as could Winston Churchill, and they both hold high favor with me.

I enjoy writing enormously, though I no longer aim to be that sort of writer. I've tried my hand at writing fiction a few times, and attempted screenplays for a couple of my favorite books, but those styles just don't suit me. I tend to use my writing as a way to iron out my own wrinkled jumble of thoughts and ideas, a kind of mental therapy. It was only quite recently that a friend suggested I start a blog of my own. Following a surprising amount of positive feedback and encouragement, I decided to try it. And here we are.
