Swapnil Khandelwal

I was born and brought up in Jabalpur (M.P). After doing my schooling till 10th standard I went to Kota to prepare for engineering pre-entrance examination.

Based on my all India AIEEE rank I got admitted into DAIICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Communication Technology). During my college time, I founded the DAIICT Dance Club Dance Coders which went on to become one of the most popular and funded clubs of my college. I led the club for 3 consecutive years and managed above a total of 100 people during this tenure. I was also the DAIICT Badminton team captain in my college time.

Right after graduation, I founded Neo Educators, an online tutoring company for SAT Preparation. It was my first step in entrepreneurship and an intense learning experience. During Neo Educators, I was a regular to all Start up events, mentorship programs and sessions.

In February'11, I Co-Founded Alma Connect with my friend & batchmate from college, Rubish Gupta. Alma Connect got selected among top 10 startups by CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad for their incubation, funding and mentoring program in Nov'11. Jan'12 we received a funding of Rs.25L from Government of India through DAIICT. Currently, team size has come up to 6 and we are in the scaling stage of Alma Connect and are super excited. We have a strong conviction that this venture is gonna go a long way...
