Sara Washington

Hello! I am a writer, photographer, and documentary filmmaker with a penchant for wandering.

I graduated in 2011 with a BA in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During my undergraduate career I completed a six-month field study, working for the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. I was studied for an academic year at the Institut d'études politiques (Sciences) in Paris.

After completing my undergraduate education I moved to New York City, where I completed a graduate certificate in Documentary Media Studies.

I currently reside in Northern California where I work as a freelance photographer and writer. I am also a Producer and the primary Audio Editor for the Outer Voices podcast, and I run a blog called Strange Child.

I speak French at an intermediate level and am proficient in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and a host of other video, photo, and web design softwares. I'm quite tech savvy.
