Good day. I’m Scott, the owner of SWAT Optics, a Dallas-based entrepreneur and small business owner passionate about innovation, web development, AI, and the great outdoors. Over the years, I’ve cultivated a deep interest in optical engineering disciplines and have sold millions of dollars in optics of various brands over the last decade. Despite the optic brand or the price point, one problem and question always arises: How far away is my target? This question is always the static variable. While my LPVO may not have Schmidt and Bender glass clarity or laser range-finding abilities at this juncture, I believe we have produced one of the easiest-to-use reticle systems. Ranging has never been made easier and requires little to no math. With our new Hunt Sighting System (HSS) DMR, the user can easily measure the distance and engage in multiple targets at different ranges on the fly. The experience I gained as a young man in my early 20s to a decade of selling various optics brands has revolutionized my problem-solving and product development approach.
Since 2018, I’ve spearheaded the design of the HSS DMR series and the engineering of two groundbreaking Low Power Variable Optics (LPVOs) poised to redefine performance standards in the outdoor shooting sports industry. Our flagship HSS DMR series reticle design has been evaluated by former military snipers and combat veterans and incorporates precision-engineered optics designed to enhance user accuracy and situational awareness. Early feedback indicates these systems instantly transition new users—from novices to professionals—to achieve exceptional combat effectiveness with minimal training.
