Back my campaign

Hi! I am 21 years old now. But when I was 15 years old when I became a victim of drunk driving. My whole life was changed on Grandparent's Day 2010. It was 5:30pm & a drunk driver going at a estimated speed of 90-100mph just seconds before impact at 65mph. The van was thrown 264yards into a field on the other side of the road. Me & my family would of been hit again by a car in the opposite lane, but something told the driver to slow down. The back of the van was put then part of the middle; my youngest brother was in the back seat & suffered only cuts & minor bruises. My middle brother recieved a busted mouth & lip, with neck & back soreness. I suffered a concussion, along with severe whiplash. The curve in my back was knocked backwards. At impact I had also blacked-out. My mom recieved a broken elbow & numerous & serious bruises. Along with neck, back & a hip injury; my dad had neck & back injuries with a banged up knee. I had to be placed into counseling, that caused me into anxiety, fear, & holding it in. I didn't know how to deal with it all. A month later, we had witnessed an alcohol-related wreck. I knew from that moment on, I needed to do something so other lives would could be saved & wouldn't have to go through what me & my family went through. I just want to thank God for keeping me & my family safe & still having the oppportunity to be here today.

In 2012, I still haven't fully recovered from the accident. I'm still going to counceling for not only the wreck. She is such a great help. She has been & still is an Angel towards my full recover & taking the steps to overcome the event. Though I still have my anxiety, everything else has been solved. So, now I am putting my voice out there to put a stop on drunk driving & make people more aware of the topic. Drunk driving & Drunk driving wrecks must be stopped at all cost, no matter what.
