Sweet Decadents Cakes

Hi my name is Phumzile Makhubela, I am a housewife and mother of 20 months twin girls. I actually started baking when I was 10 years of age, but Sweet Decadents cakes all started when I needed a cake for my kids 1st birthday, well I already had the cake design in my head of the type of cake I wanted, I then went all around stores looking for a gorgeous cake that looked like the ones I saw on TV like on Cake Boss and other baking shows but I couldn’t find any! I then decided to do it myself but I could not find Fondant (modeling colored icing) in local stores. I then did my research and found it in baking shops and then began with my project, the cake turned out great and it was a hit at my kid’s party. Friends and family were soooooo impressed that they started encouraging me to do it professionally and I would just laugh it off, then one day my husband said: “well you really love baking and you are already doing it for family and friends the only difference is that you are not getting paid for it.” That really hit home! So I thought to myself ‘ I am truly passionate about making beautiful cakes, always want to try new recipes and new ideas and always ready to take up new challenges, so I definitely don’t have anything to lose but everything to gain. A month later Sweet Decadents cakes was born! We do cakes for all occasions!
