How I would like to be known at the end of my career-
'A social entrepreneur, who was able to integrate business and philanthropy to benefit the society.' I am inspired by novel business ideas like Facebook 'Free Basics ' (internet.org) and 'Pigeonly'.
Who I am now-
I am Swetha Iyer from India. A global Regulatory Compliance Manager by experience. After completing my Bachelor’s in Commerce and while studying for Company Secretary professional exams, I joined Tata Technologies, a global Engineering and Design services Company, where I worked for 5 years. In my latest role at Tata Technologies, I was responsible for the Compliance Management function of the Legal and Secretarial team globally. I implemented and managed the Company’s statutory and regulatory compliance management solution in India, Europe (UK, France and Germany), Singapore, Thailand, US, Canada and Mexico. My profile included mentoring the compliance team, real time compliance monitoring, ongoing support, managing compliance audits for the Company and building a compliance culture within the organization.
What I am proud of:
1. that I was able to lead the compliance program of Tata Technologies to win the “Compliance Program 2014” award at a pan India Compliance Event with companies across India, competing for it,
2. that I was shortlisted as the “Compliance Champion 2014” for implementing and managing Tata Technologies’ Compliance Program, from over 150 Compliance Managers across India,
3. my achievements at Tata Technologies that include Champion of the quarter, Spot award and recognition of the Compliance Program as a best practice internally,
4. that I was elected to serve as a member of the “Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Committee’, a cause close to my heart.
What I love:
My family, networking, devising start up plans to integrate social work and business and curling up with a good book on a rainy day.
What I look forward to learn:

2. More about you…
