Robert Walton

I am so interested in this world and I want to find out all of its secrets. I hope Margaret, my sister, enjoys reading about my travels as much as I enjoy having them. I just cannot wait until I make it to the North Pole and hopefully find out about the Earth's magnitude (p.1 Paragraph 2). I love educating myself at night on the boat since most of my education was neglected (p.2 Paragraph 2). I try to be determined and strong-willed when it comes to anything-education or adventure. "Why not still proceed over the untamed yet obedient element? What can stop the determined heart and resolved will of a man? (p.81 paragraph 4)" Nothing will stop me until I find all the answers to my questions. However I will admit, I have been a tad lonely. None of the sailors are friendly and I have longed for a friend until recently (p.4 Paragraph 3). We have recently found a stranger by the sheet of ice our boat got stuck in and took him aboard. He is staying with me, and although it took him a little while to open up, he finally did and I think we have so much in common! I have such fasination with him (p. 12 paragraph 2). His name is Victor and his story is so interesting. He has been interested in this world, perphas even more than I have. He also has a sister that he holds dear to him (p. 12 paragraph 2). He told me that he was going to tell me his story and I cannot wait to hear it. I hope it will help me in some way in my expeditions! Oh and the link I have added is a song that I love to listen to! It always gets me in the exploring mood.
