Sharon Williams

Sharon Williams is a Director with Navigant Healthcare and has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare operations and policy. She has extensive experience working with healthcare payers, providers and managed care organizations in the development and evaluation of healthcare delivery and reimbursement systems, healthcare compliance programs, healthcare reform options and healthcare data analysis. Ms. Williams has worked with health plans, employers and unions in assessing opportunities for improving health insurance benefit design, contracting and pricing strategies, performance improvement (including HEDIS), the analysis and design of cost containment options for Medicare products including but limited to SNP(duals), I-SNP (long term care), and contracting and pricing strategies.

As a senior executive for several health plans, she was responsible for the overall operations of the health plan, including strategic direction, administration for all existing programs and the development of new programs to ensure goals and objectives were met or exceeded. Ms. Williams has led, and directed the overall improvement of operations including: provider contracting and relations, sales and marketing, claims operating system, call center responsiveness, medical management, regulatory compliance and finance. She has served as the representative of the health plan to government entities and other external agencies and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies. She has realigned provider network contracts and launched pay for performance initiatives and risk contracts for government sponsored and employer based products. She has developed processes and production standards to improve the quality of contract loading and claims processing.
