The daughter of a classically trained pianist and a freelance artist, Sophie has been brought up in, and blessed to have been born into a artistic family. A family that appreciates the arts. This instilled a passion for performing in Sophie that she carries with her everywhere.
She began training in voice with Tamara Cashour at Worth-Tyrrell Studios in 2007. Since then, she went on to study musical comedy with Caroline Worth-Tyrrell, the artistic director of the company. Two years later, Sophie began taking voice lessons under the instruction of Margaret Ann Gates, Broadway's Ellen in Miss Saigon. With her, Sophie was given the opportunity to travel to Louisville, Colorado to perform in The Colorado Repertory Theatre's debut production, the Wizard of Oz, as the understudy for Dorothy. In 2011, Sophie came back to New Jersey to play the same title role for Livingston Community Players of Livingston, New Jersey.
Since then, Sophie has gone on to train with many talented teachers and masters of the arts.
Master classes include workshops with Christian Borle, Sierra Boggess, and Jamibeth Margolis.
Favorite credits include: Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed in Business..., Betty in David Ives' Sure Thing, and Val in A Chorus Line.
