Meet Dr. Jacob Sheppard

Dr. Jacob Sheppard followed an inspiring path to dentistry after careers as a U.S. mail carrier, home i

nspector, and business owner. Pursuing his lifelong dream, he moved to Richmond with his family, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology summa cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University, and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the VCU School of Dentistry. While at VCU, he served as class president and was honored by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for his clinical excellence.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Sheppard completes advanced continuing education each year to provide patients with the latest techniques and a comfortable, high-quality dental experience.

Outside the office, Dr. Sheppard lives in Chesterfield, VA, with his wife, Sharon, their children, Jacob and Sabrina, and their dogs. He enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, music, birdwatching, baking, and serving his church and local community. He has also volunteered with Virginia Mission of Mercy projects, providing dental care and supporting underserved communities across the state.
