Hi Everyone! My name is Sydney. I am a new teacher currently living in Vietnam. I have been teaching Grade 6 ELL's for one year, just starting my second year. My teaching experience may be unique - I teach two classes of around 23 students in each. These students are all Vietnamese, with English as a second language. I am their Canadian English teacher! I am learning every second of every day and I’m looking forward to learning more throughout this course. I’d like to be able to take away some applicable, effective ELL teaching strategies.

I am from Kingston, Ontario. I never had plans to pick up and move across the world but here we are! I love to travel and right now that consists of mainly South East Asia. My favourite country so far has been in the Philippines. I like hot climates and being in the ocean. When I have time, I enjoy yoga, reading, and eating ice cream. I plan to be in Vietnam for another two years and then I will hopefully continue the experience of teaching abroad elsewhere in the world! I definitely have that travel bug. Looking forward to getting to know each of you a little more.
