As it was given to me by my mother, my name is Sydney. Just call me Syd! I was born in a small town centered in the Midwest, in the beautiful month of May. Over the course of my life, I have been blessed with four siblings: two brothers and two sisters. Someone like me could appreciate that symmetry! I enjoy writing, reading (...I sound like a natural born adrenaline junkie, yeah?...), and using the word 'gross' in unconventional ways. I amuse myself by attempting to appear tougher than I really am...but what girl doesn't? Those who know me well also understand that I have an unhealthy obsession with rings, heels, sunglasses, and poetry. And sure, maybe there's a little dark chocolate involved, too.

Despite my initial expectations at the beginning of my high school career, I have somehow managed to collect a plethora of wonderful friends, and one lifelong best friend--my soul mate, really--that I hope never to lose.

Over the course of the next few years, I hope to settle into college nicely, to major in creative writing, and to publish the book that I am currently completing. I take writing very seriously (but who's to say it can't be impossibly fun at the same time?) and consider it my lot in life, my link to the world, and, behind my faith and love for Jesus Christ, the key to my happiness. I hold all of these things close to my heart, among a variety of others, of which, will remain a secret...for now.
