Homeward Hound

Sydney and August are partners with a shared passion for animals. They bring their individual personal experience and shared history working in the pet care industry to create a balance of practical knowledge, and deeply rooted love for companion animals.

After working together at a fast-paced boarding and daycare facility, Sydney and August decided that it was time to take a leap and start their own endeavor in order to better represent their values and offer a more personalized experience to clients. They envisioned a business that reflected their ethics and fostered a relationship of trust and community with the clients they served.

Sydney and August live together in northeast Portland along with their two dogs, Cricket and Muskrat, and their cat, Maude.
