I've always been "good with computers"... People look at me sideways when I tell them I've been on the internet since 1991, back when Prodigy charged per email, and my super-fast new computer rolled in with a sexy 2MB of RAM.

My first trip to New Orleans was for Jazzfest, 1997. I stepped out of the car after a roadtrip through crazy, tornadic thunderstorms, and looked around at the heavy shadows cast by the oak trees. I surprised myself with the loud, proclamation screaming through my head:

"I'm home."

Since that first trip, I've wanted to live there. Yes, it's a very long time to want something, but the one promise I made to myself was that I wasn't going to do it until the situation was right. I think this is the year it will finally happen. Until then, I will visit as much as I can, and rabidly cheer on my beloved New Orleans Saints. Who Dat!
