Sydney Manning

I am a senior Marketing Communications major at Emerson College in Boston, MA, originally from the great Dairy State of Wisconsin. I am a semi-professional and published singer/songwriter, a marketing and social media enthusiast, and aspiring entrepreneur.

I started playing music seriously my senior year of high school, and have published two albums since then, both available on Bandcamp, (SydneyManning.Bandcamp.com) and one available on Itunes (Not-So-Romantic Comedies). I regularly play shows around the Boston area and beyond, and hope to continue my passion for music for decades to come.

When I'm not shredding on my electro-acoustic, I enjoy being on the other side of the music business with my job as secretary of Wax on Felt Records, Emerson College's only student-run record label. Through Wax on Felt, I've gotten the opportunity to not only connect with other bands in the area, but also experience first-hand the inner-workings of a fully-functioning record label from signing a band to the final product and promotion.

In the future I hope to do social media marketing in either the hospitality industry, or work in marketing and promotions for a record label in the great city of Nashville, TN.
